IAG’s Shared Value team looks for ways to solve social issues, while also delivering measurable business benefit by reducing insurance claims, developing new products, involving employees and building brand love.
We started by helping IAG develop its Shared Value Strategy. From there we defined key issues in the community which could become our 'hero'.

A survey of over 3,000 employees and customers chose ‘breakdown of community’ as the most pressing. So we embarked on a mission to find new ways to help people create that 'first hello'.
A national collective impact movement
The result is Good 'Hoods, a national collective impact movement to bring out the good in every 'hood by finding new ways - and old ways - for people to meet, then start working together to create community.

Our first activation was a street BBQ’s and 200 households registered.
