WAW Handplanes

Kerbside recycling in Australia is in crisis

Much of what used to get recycled is now stockpiled or sent to landfill. Meanwhile, the world keeps using virgin plastic and throwing it away. Crazy, hey?

Dream team Rikki Gilbey and Lucy Jackson set out to help solve the problem by innovating a way to create hand planes from a mix of ocean and post-consumer plastic.

We helped them with a little funding to get the process over the line,
then worked with them to name it, explain it and design the brand

And guess what? The world loves it.

Good on you Rikki and Lucy.
